Silkscreen Printing on Textiles

Participants will gain insight into the skills of silkscreen printing onto fabrics. Learn how to translate ideas into prints through stencils and how to prepare and expose images onto screens and print using water-based inks. All levels of experience are welcome.

Artist Bio: Fibre artist Sharon Epstein was trained at the Glasgow School of Art in Scotland, and has attended the Banff Centre of Fine Arts in Alberta, Canada. Her artistic practice includes collage, screen-printing and stitching techniques and, over the past few years, she has been doing research into Judaic liturgical textiles.

ACCESSIBILITY: Centre[3] is partially physically accessible. We have a level entrance leading to our shop, information desk, galleries, washroom and traditional print studio. Unfortunately, we do not have automatic doors or an elevator. Our silkscreen studios and digital lab are only accessible by stairs. We are working toward becoming a physically accessible space in the future.
