Derby Girl

Robert Creighton

July 4 - August 3 , 2019

Opening Reception: Friday, July 12, 7:00pm - 10:00pm

The work that I create is a personal, subjective reaction, and interpretation of elements and aspects of our contemporary society.

The “Derby Girl” lithographs were conceived to depict a perceived attitude towards this particular popular entertainment in a questioning, humorous, engaging and rather beautiful manner.

Robert Creighton was born in 1949 in Port Hope Ontario. He was educated in Canada, (Diploma 1971, Humber College, Honours BA 1977, McMaster University, Bed. 1989 University of Toronto), and the United Kingdom, (MFA 1979 Edinburgh College of Art/Herriot Watt University). Robert has exhibited widely in group and solo shows in Europe, South Africa, Australia, China, Japan, the United States and Canada.

Accessibility

We are partially physically accessible. We have a level entrance leading to our shop, information desk, galleries, washroom and traditional print studio. Unfortunately, we do not have automatic doors or an elevator. We are working toward becoming a physically accessible space in the future.
