Repetition & Difference

Fatima Garzan

March 5 - March 31, 2015
Opening Reception: Friday, March 13

Fatima Garzan’s art practice spans across painting, printmaking, and installations. Her experimentation with an array of materials has led her work to divergent and unexpected concepts. She investigates into two aesthetic themes: geometric shapes and colours. Continuing with various printmaking methods in combination with painting and collage, Garzan explores the language of pattern, colour, and form to discover the relationship between materials and the finished work. Her work has a roughness and makeshift quality. Her investigation of the circles and lines has its own momentum. She works with different materials from original and digital prints to Mylar and vinyl on various supports.
