Here's what the class is all about...

In this weekend workshop, students will be introduced to type-setting on our two Vandercook letterpresses. Using Centre3's lead type, wood type, dingbats, and archived halftone blocks, students will learn how to compose their textual ideas using leading, spacing, reglets and furniture. Students will learn how to mix ink and how to operate and clean up the presses.

Olga Wieczorek is a local letterpress printer in Hamilton. She is the owner of  Kiss the Paper, a letterpress business started in 2015. She graduated OCADU in 2011 with a focus on etching and relief printing. She incorporates hand drawn lettering and illustrations with classic type-setting to produce a broad range of paper goods.
