Centre[3] invites proposals for innovative and explorative use of the gallery and street-facing window space for our 2025 schedule. Proposals can include any medium, but please be advised that due to the conditions of Centre[3]’s windows and gallery we do not recommend installing weather and light-sensitive works directly against the glass.

This space is a free, do-it-yourself space offered to Centre[3] Members through a submission process as a perk of membership and all exhibitions are to be produced, curated, and installed by the member. Centre[3] provides installation support, basic tools, vinyl signage, and online and printed promotion. Please be aware that Member’s exhibitions do not receive artist’s fees.

OBJECTIVES

Centre[3]’s Members’ Gallery is committed to the following objectives:

• To provide Centre[3] members with a dedicated space to exhibit and sell their artwork.
• To assist in the advancement of exhibition experience for emerging and local artists.
• To engage the public and arts communities by sharing Centre[3] members work across multiple disciplines.

ELIGIBILITY

• To be eligible, you must be a current member of Centre[3]. If your membership has lapsed or you would like to become a member, please visit our website (https://centre3.com/membership/), or get in touch with us via email (info@centre3.com). Unfortunately, Centre[3] cannot accept proposals from non-members.
  
  
• Current employees of Centre[3] are ineligible.
  
  
• Centre[3] welcomes submissions from artists at all stages of their careers and strongly encourages submissions from equity-seeking communities. This includes Indigenous, Black and racialized artists, women and gender diverse artists, members of the LGBTTIQQ2SA+ community, and Deaf, Deafblind and disabled artists.

CONDITIONS

• All submissions are subject to review by a selection committee.
  
  
• Proposals can be submitted electronically via email to programming@centre3.com
  
  
• Proposal packages submitted via email must be compiled into one PDF document with accompanying visual support materials and should be labeled as follows: yourlastname-membersgallery2025.pdf
  
  
• Packages must include the following information.
  
  
  • Preferred Name and pronouns
  • Email or best contact information 
  • Artist’s CV 
  • Artist’s Bio (max. 250 words)
  • Optional Artist Statement (max. 500 words)
  • Brief Exhibition Description (max. 500 words)
  • Visual Support Materials (min. 5, max. 10 numbered support images or videos)
    • Vimeo and youtube links, and links to personal websites are accepted
  • Confirmed List of Artworks 
    
    • Include a list of title information for each artwork formatted as follows: title of artwork, year created, medium, price if applicable 

• Submissions may be made on an individual basis, as a duo, or as a group/collective, although we advise groups/collectives that the Member’s Gallery space is limited in size.
  
  
• All works must be presentation-ready and original.
  
  
• Eligible works can be listed for sale and transactions processed by Centre[3], in which 30% of all sales will go to support Centre[3]’s ongoing programming, and 70% is remitted back to the artist. Unsold pieces will be returned to the artist.
