Many artists convey the idea of play in their art, either directly through subject matter, or sometimes by engaging playfulness in their process of creation. Curators Aaron Hutchinson and Sandor Ajzenstat, starting from this idea of play, have zeroed in on a concept: “Art that plays well with other artworks.” The five artists whose works are presented in this exhibition explore this unusual concept in five unique ways.
